Just thought I'd share...

This was part of my devotion today....how important it is to remember these key points. :)

"Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5 NIV

Matthew 5 is a step-by-step description of how God rebuilds the believer’s heart.

The first step is to ask for help to become “poor in spirit” and admit our need for a Savior.

The next step is sorrow. Those who mourn are those who know they are wrong and say they are sorry.

The next step is one of renewal: “Blessed are the meek. . .” Realization of weakness leads to the source of strength–God.

Truth:

Just thought i'd share: and i only share because i know at one point in my life i was guilty of this and wished that i couldve heard this then, or maybe i was told this and refused to actually stop and "listen", idk whatever the reason i just left this part out and making sure i put it out there for you...Ladies....just know that you are NOT alone. You may be feeling alone right now, afraid and needing direction, but know that you're not alone! Remember that with God you are never alone. Believe me, I can relate....I've been in many of the places you are now. but, be of good courage for you serve a God that can deliver you out of ANY situation and heal your broken heart! God has promised never to leave you nor forsake you. Even in your current situation, he has not forsaken you. Remember, “We know that all things work together for good to them who love God, to them who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28, KJV).
How many avenues have you taken, but still find that you keep coming back to the same one asking yourself.....Why am I here? Why am i even living??...First of all, let me tell you.- You are no accident. God created you for a divine purpose that only you can fulfill. You have a gift that only you can bring to others. When you find your purpose and passion in life, you will not only bring joy to yourself, but God as well.
I've been there. -I had made myself to believe that there was no where to turn, that i was alone with absolutely no aspirations whatsoever, with nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. How foolish of me. ):
It wasnt until, I surrendered my life (spring of 2008) CoMpleTely to Him, who loves me MOST, that i was able to see CLEARLY, that i was definitely Not alone.
When I gave God my all, I found everything I ever needed. I found my purpose, my passion and a peace I never knew existed. I had direction. I began to express myself more clearly, I finally learned to give myself a little more credit and love myself a little more.:) And in turn.... i learned to love others.
I learned from EXPERIENCE that when you give it all to HIM, (that means: you are sincerely content with whatever God wills for your life, even tho it may not be what you were hoping for, at the time) you will experience an intimate relationship with God like never before. You will discover spiritual gifts you never knew you had. You truly become free! Renewed! LOVED!!! Dependent on NoNeOtheR than HIM! No longer will you dread another day...you will have a new outlook on life and live it entirely grateful that you have it! (lol the title of my blog page is proof that I still haven't gotten over the fact that I am blessed to be alive!! sigh..srry my mind is jumping all over the place lol-it's what happens when i start getting excited) I'm telling you!- the renewed "you" will constantly love on the gift of Life that He has given onto us.
Never again will you ever have to overcome any challenge by yourself. In HIM, you'll find hope, peace, Love, PURPOSE!!!
Do you believe His Word to be true?- Read Jeremiah 29:11.

Allow God to become the pilot, commander in chief, navigator, driver, LEADER in your life! Let Him take your hand! For where He will take you is beyond greater than anyplace you've ever been or ever dreamed of!!!
Ohhh the places you'll go!!!:)

I Love God! I love the gift of life! and I LOVE you! And You should too!!;)) Each one of us has a unique, special gift. You are Special!!!! Don't let AnYone tell you any different! Be encouraged!

I leave you with this: Ephesians (NLT 3:20) "Now all glory to God, who is able through His mighty power at work within us to accomplish infinitely more than we could ever ask for or think of."

TOODLES!! :)

Through the rain God brings upon an unspeakable amount of Peace.:')

Today, like any other day, was a good day. Only today was just a little extra special.:] Yeah, its been raining and storming all day long but God just continues to keep pouring out on us His wonderful blessings. Today I got a text from Sean at 12:50 with an awesome, totally unexpected praise report. All I can say is that God is soooooooooo so good. I can't even begin to explain His goodness. There are no words or phrases that would ever be suffice when it comes to expressing His goodness and mercy. God loves us sooo much and if we continue to strive to live better, to live a life of uneasiness-where we're not comfortable of where we're at, striving to live in a way that would be pleasing and glorifying to God- then, just then will God show you all the blessings and wonderful things He has in store for you. Brothers and sisters, today i encourage you to keep holding on, to keep fighting the good fight, for everything you do for His glory will not be done in vain nor go unseen by Him. Just wait, He's got something for you that will surpass any "pain", "struggle" you may be going through. My friends i tell you, its so worth it. Its so worth going through a little pain and suffering...after all, We will never have to go through the the type of pain and suffering God went through when He came down to die for us. So through your troubling times and sufferings be thankful for it is through these times we are able to experience and recognize His Holy Spirit right there with us. And my friends i tell you it is one of the most amaZing feelings you'll ever feel. When we're all comfortable and get complacent of where we're at in life we tend to forget about the intimacy we once had with Him when we were going through the rut and actually cried out to Him. Well you see, we shouldnt OnLy cry out to him when things aren't going so smooth. We need to have an intimate, GeNuine relationship with Him at ALLLLLL times. Not just when life throws curveballs at us, but all times, that means eVen during the "good" times.
So friends, please do Expect suffering. Desire that suffering. I know, Nobody "WANTS" pain...but Seriously!? who wouldn't want Jesus at wHatever that cost may be?!? The little "pain" and "suffering" we go through in this life IS BeYond Worth it! Paul says in Philippians 3:7 –“But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like Him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead..”
Whatever gain I had I count it as loss. Because of the surpassing worth of knowing Jesus. Wow. For HIS sake, i count everything as loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do it. For Him! Its the LEAST we could do. Romans 8:18 states: "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is yet to be revealed to us." Isn't this enough for us to believe?? What will it take?
Thank you Jesus for choosing to love me unconditionally and claiming me as your child!!! I NEED YOU!!!!!! Today and forevermore... :)

A day of prayer....

What an awesome day to dedicate time to seek God. Everyday is, actually. Sometimes i just occupy myself doing other things...like school, chores, hmk...etc. Busyness our all-time favorite excuse as to why we didn't spend AT LEAST one complete devoted hour with our Lord, God and Saviour.

Not far from today...

The day our Lord, God and Saviour returns is closer than ever. During our last bible study last weekend, our group started a new series called OMEGA, where we are/will be studying the end times....How fitting is it that we just got a little reminder today of just how LITERAL we neeeeeed to take the bible....I believe we have received yet ANOTHER wake-up call from our God today. The earthquake that took place just along side Japan and the Tsunami that hit it and part of Hawaii are no coincidence. We neeeed to WAKE UP!!!!!! Its soooo weird that we just started this new series and we see things like this happen. It just makes me want to prepare for His coming even more than ever!!! We need to be praying.....praying for the lost and praying for this nation....we are seeing natural disasters after natural disasters and changes within politics and military..just goes to show that what the bible says is REAL. I need to prepare. WE need to prepare. and go out and tell.....

Food for thought... :)

Just thought i'd share a little from my devotional. :) Have a GREAT day everyone!!!!

“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Jesus Christ.” Romans 8:1 NIV

There is never a point at which you are any less saved than you were the first moment Christ saved you. Just because you were grumpy at breakfast doesn’t mean you were condemned at breakfast. When you lost your temper yesterday, you didn’t lose your salvation. Your name doesn’t disappear and reappear in the book of life according to your moods and actions . . .

You are saved, not because of what you do, but because of what Christ Jesus did for you!
Thank you Jesus for your unfailing, unconditional LOVE!!!!

God is Good...allllll the time.

God is a God of justice.

That means God makes wrong things right!!

Don't get yourself so FAT with the word that you can't even move. Do something with it! There will come a time where you become so full you don't have room to put any more in you. Gotta have it come to you and thru you. Not to you so that you can keep it. You cant. You will be one UNhappy, Fat person. Don't become that fat person!

He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 NIV

Pitter, Patter, Pitter, Patter....listening to the rain... :')

“All people will know that you are my followers if you love each other.” John 13:35
From God’s perspective there is but “one flock and one shepherd” (John 10:16). Unity does not need to be created; it simply needs to be protected.

Lifeee.... :]

Do good. Its not expensive. Sometimes there's monetary figures involved but alot of it wouldn't cost you anything, except the WILLINGNESS to be nice, to be friendly, to be patient, to be happy for somebody else- who maybe gets what you're still believing for, Love is not jealous...until you can get happy for OTHER people, you're never going to get your own breakthru. Part of what we are tested with when we're waiting for a breakthru, is seeing other people get what we want and learning how to have a good attitude about it. Love takes no account of the evil that was done to it. It doesnt demand its own right, done in its own way.

We need to stop being so selfish, We gotta get out there... where the people are hurting...

“The Spirit produces the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” Galatians 5:22 -Not you, not your "good works", not your deep faith; THE SPIRIT!!!
Have you got the Spirit in you?

Inspirational quote/poem/story... that i found on the web.

Just for today I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle my life problems at once. I can do something for 12 hours that would appal to me if I felt that I had to keep it up for a lifetime.

Just for today I will be happy. Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be.

Just for today I will adjust myself to what is, and not try to adjust everything to my own desires. I will take my “luck” as it comes, and fit myself into it.

Just for today I will try to strengthen my mind. I will study. I will learn something useful. I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration.

Just for today I will exercise my soul in three ways. I will do somebody a good turn, and not get found out, if anybody knows of it, it will not count. I will do at least two things I don’t want to do – just for exercise. I will not show anyone that my feelings are hurt; they may be hurt, but today I will not show it.

Just for today I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can, dress becomingly, talk low, criticize not one bit, not find fault with anything and not try to improve or regulate anybody except myself.

Just for today I will have a program. I may not follow it exactly, but I will have it. I will save myself from two pests; hurry and decision.

Just for today I will have a quiet half hour all by myself, and relax. During this half hour, sometime, I will try to get a better perspective of my life.

Just for today I will be unafraid. Especially I will not be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful, and to believe that as I give, so will be given onto to me.

Hi...it's me again

Just wanted to share with you a little over my devotional today...
Romans
For if you already have something, you don't need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we don't have yet, we must wait patiently and confidently. —Romans 8:25 (NLT)

**Future Glory**

18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
19For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.
20For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope
21that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
22For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.
23And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
24For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?
25But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
26Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
27And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
28And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

10 Minute Break...

So I'm sitting here at school working on homework....blahhh.
I'm starting to doze off...so I decided to take a little break to refreshen my mind. Sighh...i miss Sean, wish he was here to distract my mind a little haha. Umm, I am STILL waiting on my SISTER, Diana to hurry up and get here (she texted me and told me she overslept and was on her way, guess she missed her class.?)haha...yeah i miss her too. And its a funny thing cuz I just saw BOTH of them yesterday, well Sean-way earlier this morning and Diana-late last night. Hemm...what can I say, I don't like being away from them for too long hehe! Um so yeah. I really wish Diana would hurry up and get her butt over here! ;)
Well. Anyway, Sean and I are going thru this book of devotionals called "Night Light"...I really like it so far...its originally meant for married couples but a lot of ppl (like sean & I) believe its best to encounter these topics earlier in a relationship so as to prevent really big misunderstandings/disagreements once in marriage. It brings up subjects that normally couples won't just bring up, until they find themselves in those situations...yeah I like that it brings them up earlier in our relationship so that we both can talk about our different points of view on certain things and come to agreements if we DO happen to have a different point of view on a certain topic-which w/Sean and I, we haven't had very many disagreements cuz we're always pretty much on the same page with everything, I mean for as long as Sean and I have been friends I kinda already had a feeling we wouldn't have too much trouble working out problems or issues we may have, with both of our characters and personalities put together, we make a pretty good team- thats why when it comes to relationships its sooo important to get to know the other person for a long time before ever thinking about getting involved with them- Friendship is key!!! Also, this book helps us build even better communication skills, its great. I love that. :) Well, when we get thru the whole book I'll be sure to let you know if I recommend it or not. :) I guess thats all for now, back to school work... :( Till then.

Hello Blog World!

So, I recently learned how to blog through one of my online classes at IUPUI and I must confess that I totally fell in love with it! I like to be able to share random things that might pop up in my mind and whatnot. It kinda gets it off my chest. Sometimes I feel like I express myself much better through writing anyways.
Anywho. So I've always been REALLY excited about life-ever since I was little, even more so now. God has been sooo faithful! There will never be enough words, EveR, that could express my gratitude towards my Lord, God and Saviour. He never seems to stop amazing me! So I've got a few years left of college. I recently got my letter of approval from the Army National Guard, stating that my schooling will be paid off by them!!! PRAISE GOD!!! I have never been more motivated in my life to get through school with flying colors! I thank God eVery day for the aWesome ways He chooses to bless me just cause He loves me...My amazing familia, my WoNderful friends, my Amazing boyfriend and best friend, Sean:)
Photobucket
..yes, i am in a relationship with an aWesome man of God! He is Amazing!! =) I have never met another gentleman quite like him. sigh...I am so blessed!!! You know i don't want to make it sound like life has always been perfect, it never has, it never will be, untill the day I go up to be with my Lord and Saviour....but i definitely try my best to not complain about life, and EnjoY the realllly good things given onto me; because honestly, I am unworthy of ALL of these earthly treasures He has given me in THIS life!!! The breath of fresh air, the sun light beaming thru my window...clothes, shoes, a Roof above my head, the most perfect person for me to share this life with....the list is EndLess!
So as you'll find, This blog isn't about anything in particular. Just LIFE! So, if for no other reason than my OWN desire to be able to look back on what's happened in my life- HERE GOES NOTHING! :)
