I am Nicaraguan/Guatemalan. I am 23 years old and taking 16 credit hours this semester at IUPUI. I'm going for elementary education, hopefully working with the babies (pre-k, kinder) in the near future. Outside of school I am very outgoing, love the outdoors! Some of the things I enjoy doing with my friends and family are playing volleyball, soccer, football, basketball, hiking, and dancing. I'm not great at any of it, to say the least, but I love the times we have when we get together to do them, always so much fun! I am actively involved at my church Calvary Temple. I play piano as part of the worship team. Lets see, what else......Oh, I am also elisted in the Army National Guard. My unit (1413 Engineer Co) is scheduled to deploy in 2013 to Afganistan. I joined the Army for everything it had to offer. I joined for the discipline, to build character, for the experience, and the challenge. So far it has done all that for me and so much more. I'm honored and privileged to serve in the military services of the United States. Hopefully after next semester I will be signing up for the ROTC program here at IUPUI working up to becoming an officer upon graduation. So that should be another neat, challenging experience for me, I'm really excited about that. I am not a computer wiz so I am/did struggle with trying to figure out how to make this blog site work. As I continue to mess with it I tweak it here and there, little by little; hopefully soon this will be just like I want it. ;)

Hey I love it that you included scripture on your blog. I am a woman of faith and I know that with God all things are possible. You are taking a lot of hours at school. Well it is really cool that you work at the IMA. I cant wait to check out the outdoor arts park. Hope you are doing well with the emergent technology!

ReplyDeleteWow! You are a very dedicated and busy person (with 16 credit hours) it would seem. That is pretty cool that you are in the Guard. I'll bet you are learning a lot through the experience. I really enjoyed the pictures of the kids you worked with, and the scripture quotes. I look forward to seeing more things on your blog page. I had some trouble with my blog at first too! I can't believe you are going to Afghanistan. I have had a few friends serve over there. Oh, and I enjoyed how you added sites that would be helpful! Thanks for those. =)
