Pitter, Patter, Pitter, Patter....listening to the rain... :')

“All people will know that you are my followers if you love each other.” John 13:35
From God’s perspective there is but “one flock and one shepherd” (John 10:16). Unity does not need to be created; it simply needs to be protected.

Lifeee.... :]

Do good. Its not expensive. Sometimes there's monetary figures involved but alot of it wouldn't cost you anything, except the WILLINGNESS to be nice, to be friendly, to be patient, to be happy for somebody else- who maybe gets what you're still believing for, Love is not jealous...until you can get happy for OTHER people, you're never going to get your own breakthru. Part of what we are tested with when we're waiting for a breakthru, is seeing other people get what we want and learning how to have a good attitude about it. Love takes no account of the evil that was done to it. It doesnt demand its own right, done in its own way.

We need to stop being so selfish, We gotta get out there... where the people are hurting...

“The Spirit produces the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” Galatians 5:22 -Not you, not your "good works", not your deep faith; THE SPIRIT!!!
Have you got the Spirit in you?

Inspirational quote/poem/story... that i found on the web.

Just for today I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle my life problems at once. I can do something for 12 hours that would appal to me if I felt that I had to keep it up for a lifetime.

Just for today I will be happy. Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be.

Just for today I will adjust myself to what is, and not try to adjust everything to my own desires. I will take my “luck” as it comes, and fit myself into it.

Just for today I will try to strengthen my mind. I will study. I will learn something useful. I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration.

Just for today I will exercise my soul in three ways. I will do somebody a good turn, and not get found out, if anybody knows of it, it will not count. I will do at least two things I don’t want to do – just for exercise. I will not show anyone that my feelings are hurt; they may be hurt, but today I will not show it.

Just for today I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can, dress becomingly, talk low, criticize not one bit, not find fault with anything and not try to improve or regulate anybody except myself.

Just for today I will have a program. I may not follow it exactly, but I will have it. I will save myself from two pests; hurry and decision.

Just for today I will have a quiet half hour all by myself, and relax. During this half hour, sometime, I will try to get a better perspective of my life.

Just for today I will be unafraid. Especially I will not be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful, and to believe that as I give, so will be given onto to me.

Hi...it's me again

Just wanted to share with you a little over my devotional today...
Romans
For if you already have something, you don't need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we don't have yet, we must wait patiently and confidently. —Romans 8:25 (NLT)

**Future Glory**

18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
19For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.
20For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope
21that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
22For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.
23And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
24For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?
25But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
26Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
27And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
28And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

10 Minute Break...

So I'm sitting here at school working on homework....blahhh.
I'm starting to doze off...so I decided to take a little break to refreshen my mind. Sighh...i miss Sean, wish he was here to distract my mind a little haha. Umm, I am STILL waiting on my SISTER, Diana to hurry up and get here (she texted me and told me she overslept and was on her way, guess she missed her class.?)haha...yeah i miss her too. And its a funny thing cuz I just saw BOTH of them yesterday, well Sean-way earlier this morning and Diana-late last night. Hemm...what can I say, I don't like being away from them for too long hehe! Um so yeah. I really wish Diana would hurry up and get her butt over here! ;)
Well. Anyway, Sean and I are going thru this book of devotionals called "Night Light"...I really like it so far...its originally meant for married couples but a lot of ppl (like sean & I) believe its best to encounter these topics earlier in a relationship so as to prevent really big misunderstandings/disagreements once in marriage. It brings up subjects that normally couples won't just bring up, until they find themselves in those situations...yeah I like that it brings them up earlier in our relationship so that we both can talk about our different points of view on certain things and come to agreements if we DO happen to have a different point of view on a certain topic-which w/Sean and I, we haven't had very many disagreements cuz we're always pretty much on the same page with everything, I mean for as long as Sean and I have been friends I kinda already had a feeling we wouldn't have too much trouble working out problems or issues we may have, with both of our characters and personalities put together, we make a pretty good team- thats why when it comes to relationships its sooo important to get to know the other person for a long time before ever thinking about getting involved with them- Friendship is key!!! Also, this book helps us build even better communication skills, its great. I love that. :) Well, when we get thru the whole book I'll be sure to let you know if I recommend it or not. :) I guess thats all for now, back to school work... :( Till then.

Hello Blog World!

So, I recently learned how to blog through one of my online classes at IUPUI and I must confess that I totally fell in love with it! I like to be able to share random things that might pop up in my mind and whatnot. It kinda gets it off my chest. Sometimes I feel like I express myself much better through writing anyways.
Anywho. So I've always been REALLY excited about life-ever since I was little, even more so now. God has been sooo faithful! There will never be enough words, EveR, that could express my gratitude towards my Lord, God and Saviour. He never seems to stop amazing me! So I've got a few years left of college. I recently got my letter of approval from the Army National Guard, stating that my schooling will be paid off by them!!! PRAISE GOD!!! I have never been more motivated in my life to get through school with flying colors! I thank God eVery day for the aWesome ways He chooses to bless me just cause He loves me...My amazing familia, my WoNderful friends, my Amazing boyfriend and best friend, Sean:)
Photobucket
..yes, i am in a relationship with an aWesome man of God! He is Amazing!! =) I have never met another gentleman quite like him. sigh...I am so blessed!!! You know i don't want to make it sound like life has always been perfect, it never has, it never will be, untill the day I go up to be with my Lord and Saviour....but i definitely try my best to not complain about life, and EnjoY the realllly good things given onto me; because honestly, I am unworthy of ALL of these earthly treasures He has given me in THIS life!!! The breath of fresh air, the sun light beaming thru my window...clothes, shoes, a Roof above my head, the most perfect person for me to share this life with....the list is EndLess!
So as you'll find, This blog isn't about anything in particular. Just LIFE! So, if for no other reason than my OWN desire to be able to look back on what's happened in my life- HERE GOES NOTHING! :)

Introduction

Hello :)
I am Nicaraguan/Guatemalan. I am 23 years old and taking 16 credit hours this semester at IUPUI.  I'm going for elementary education, hopefully working with the babies (pre-k, kinder) in the near future. Outside of school I am very outgoing, love the outdoors! Some of the things I enjoy doing with my friends and family are playing volleyball, soccer, football, basketball, hiking, and dancing. I'm not great at any of it, to say the least,  but I love the times we have when we get together to do them, always so much fun! I am actively involved at my church Calvary Temple. I play piano as part of the worship team. Lets see, what else......Oh, I am also elisted in the Army National Guard. My unit (1413 Engineer Co) is scheduled to deploy in 2013 to Afganistan. I joined the Army for everything it had to offer. I joined for the discipline, to build character, for the experience, and the challenge. So far it has done all that for me and so much more. I'm honored and privileged to serve in the military services of the United States. Hopefully after next semester I will be signing up for the ROTC program here at IUPUI working up to becoming an officer upon graduation. So that should be another neat, challenging experience for me, I'm really excited about that. I am not a computer wiz so I am/did struggle with trying to figure out how to make this blog site work. As I continue to mess with it I tweak it here and there, little by little; hopefully soon this will be just like I want it. ;)
